Water for tubs (+ bark) +leaves for silkworms: repeat boring actions that require a lot of time without ganing LP. It's like farmers didn't get LP from plowing, harvesting and planting.

Add sunflowers :)- Seeds can be used for some sort of baked bread maby fryed a bit in the frying pan or something, and sunflower seeds can also be made into sunflower oil, adds another use for winebottles and churns. (hmm on a side note: maby even some sort of oil tourche or oil lamp of some sort could be introduced aswell then)

Add a crafting process after the tanning. the skinns would come out in peices as you have been descussing here more pieces from larger skins and so on but rather hard and useless after the tanning and then needs oiling and softening, and maby then even some leatherworker tool made of wood needed in the process to rubb it soft, so have the sunflower oil and hard leather pieces in inventory use the leatherworking tool and voila soft leather ready to be used, LP gained.

These webbys are in Swedish unfortunatly, but maby they can give the devs some inspiration of some sort.

he he nope.

i was just taking it a bit further.

to make it clearer, my idea to add some LP gain from leatherworking. add an extra element to the leatherworking process. Do as normal, dry hide on a rack- put the dryed hide in the tanning tub as it is now with water and bark, result a bit modifyed from what we have now- maby with more leather pieces comming from bearhides as was discussed erlier in this thread. And then my idea, what comes out from the tanning tub is not finished leather, but more of hard pieces of leather that needs further process. Take some of those hard pieces of leather in your inventory together with a flask of lets say sunflower oil, or some other fat and click the new added feature leatherworker tool (name for the new tool well i dont know come up with something) open craft menu - letherworking menu- find something like "fine leather" similar to "linnen cloth" in the clothmaking menu. and craft, result the fine smoth leather ready to be used, and LP gain for the leatherworker.

some various post-processing things would be cool to add to leather. not requirements for the basic leather though, but additions like oiled, boiled, or waxed. things to harden or soften it up for various special purposes.
