Given that playing H&H while it is running smoothly and lag-free gives me happyness: Exactly that was the idea.

Totally without being a faggot.

Well if you and the other trolls don't like the idea of money maybe you could share any better ideas to fix the lag?

I think Avu was talking about the people who wanted a cash shop, or the population cap guy. A monthly fee wouldn't be so bad, except of course that J&L have already said they wouldn't do that.

Stupid thread full of sarcastic posts gets to 4 pages and goes nowhere with ideas that have already been talked about more times than you can count and don't matter.
Meanwhile good suggestions are sitting there.

Just because no one has a 'better' suggestion, doesn't make this an acceptable one.

Cash shops are really he bottom of the barrel of money-raising options. I'd never play any game that uses this method. The two reasonable options here are:
a) Donation drive. Set a goal at whatever amount of money is needed to rent a server for one year, and put up a progress bar next to the donate button.
b) Monthly subscription. But as cool as H&H is, I still don't think it's stable enough to go commercial.

A donation drive would be the best option by far.

Paying monthly wouldn't be 'terrible', or at least would be better than cash shop, but considering the amount of people joining and leaving, those that play casually, etc, I doubt this would happen.

Not to mention the server limitations, people will feel that if they're paying monthly they 'deserve' to be on whenever they want.

Furthermore monthly service for an alpha is pretty unheard of, but there's no 'rules' so it's not a federal fucking issue.

This is the first reasonable thing I read in this thread and maybe it wouldn't even contradict with jorbs and loftars money policy. Because basically all they do is add a progress bar somewhere on the homepage. Nothing that forces anyone to do anything, just an incentive to donate.
