We eat all the time it adds no extra effort whatsoever.

Well....
Potjeh wrote:The main problem is that people are not encouraged enough to specialize atm.

Ill explain my previous points even further, Im sorry i've probably didn't make them clear enough.

Brickbreaker wrote:-Well I'm not sure if this is enough thought for you (the only thought I use with the current system is what one food should I eat until I'm a certain level at desired stat) but decay means you can't just keep eating one chosen food for a week, which as we all know is unrealistic anyway. This means you have to think about your other stats that you want to keep up therefore making multi-stat food even more desirable.

Right now I'm pretty sure everyone picks a certain food(usually single stat foods) and eats it until they reach the stat number they want. I like to hope that everyone agrees with me that it's not really realistic and requires little to no thought once you've decided the food you shall eat. And you stop diversifying the food you eat.
If we make stats decay however, the situation changes. People will be tempted to think even more deeply about their diet or else they fall behind in a stat.
Also multi-stat foods will become more popular.

Atherman wrote:Nobody can eat what they want because if they eat too much of the wrong thing they are permanently debuffing their character.

Stat decay makes sure that this does not permanently damage your character. Making it possible to change roles overtime.

Not really. I raise Str, Con, Agi and Per as primary stats. That means I mostly eat multi-fep foods that contain these stats, eliminating feps of a stat that I gain. I use other feps to fill up the bar while getting maximum bar reduction (ie variety).

For example, I got all stats at the same level, I'll eat a RoB, a piro, lamb sausage and bear salami. If I gain strength, I eliminate str food, so next round I have a RoB, a piro, a lamb sausage and a raisin cake to top off the bar. Next I gain con, it's RoB, sausage, raisin cake and a camembert. I still got agi and per to raise, so I have two RoBs, lamb sausage and two chicken chorizos. Getting per, I finally have only agi left to raise, and only now do I use food that's mostly single fep such as camembert and RoBs, but there's still some psy and cha there. If I gain psy or cha, I just try again with same food.

Anyway, as you can see, with the current system I eat a wide variety of food, something I wouldn't do if I had a short fep bar coming from decay, or if I could raise one stat ahead of the others without consequences.

Well that's just you and a few others. But I'll explain my diet.
I need perception? --> High Q Lamb Sausages
I need constitution? --> High Q Cow Chorizo
I need strength? --> Brodgar Blue Cheese
I need agility? --> Honey Bun

I rarely need the other stats so I don't know what would be good for those but I'm pretty sure there is something out there.
See my point? You are taking a route that you don't truly need to take, right now food can be a no brainer if you choose so like me.
Besides anyway who eats lamb sausages exclusively for a week? You need to mix it up like normal people do, but the thing is noone currently needs to. Which is the problem.

Not really. If you raise one stat you will be horrible in all the others since they decay with time.

Well, I suppose you don't need the reduction from multiple foods when your FEP bar is 30, but trust me once you get into triple digits raising a stat with just one food type is really inefficient.

I'll be happy to receive advice on what to eat to raise what, I don't think I'm eating the most efficient foods neither.

I admit I haven't reached triple digits yet but tbh how are multi-fep foods helpful?
The FEP system is random. So you can only raise one of each stat anyway. I honestly don't see the point in them tbh.

I think the problem here is that you don't fully understand the FEP system which is why you shouldn't be making threads on the matter, but instead making threads in How Do I asking how it works.
