wat

did you read the thread

He means they are much rarer now and thus gives a high amount of FEP, which I think shoould not be changed. Finally a foraged good that is worth something.

Btw. could also put in that other herb from the testserver growing in swamps. Forgot the name...

Hmmm? What I said was that boletes are not planned to be as common as chantrelles. They are intended to be rare, but not require a lot of per*exp. The idea was to try to give newbs a good foragable that they could perhaps trade.

What am I missing here? :)

Nothing, all is fine :)

I think jackard just suggested turning Boletes into a common Perc food for newbies.

Yep, that's exactly it, and i just suggested that if they were to be more common for newbies, that it shouldn't give as high FEP as it does now.

Jorb doesn't want that though and I myself like it too that there is a valuable forageable good in the game now. Just go with Sabis suggestion.

Another possibility, a cooked dish made from low level foragings. If several units are required and its cooked in say a Cauldron then its not viable to simply walk through the forest vacuuming up the foragings to gain Perception, some down time would be required to bring the stuff back to camp or boil water and the efficiency is reduced considerably to the 0.2 range that was suggested earlier. I'd like to propose the long speculated upon Nettle Soup as a viable candidate recipe, it would give 1 Perc and maybe 1 other FEP like a Con, requires 5 Nettles and 1 Liter of boiling water.
