i dont think change/tradition should affect appearance. nearly everyone goes change anyway.

and about the telling what a person is like. the only visible on screen ones ought to be the beard and hair. and lets face it most people wear headgear anyway. the martial (and possibly death) slider changes should only be seen when you display that char in your kin menu or when you see his equipment screen (like stealing from him). because the face is to small to see so it wont really matter :)

Let us reflect upon the good he was able to do during his short time in the hearthlands.
Let us remind ourselves of his bravery and willingness to fight for the safety of his friends!
Let us hope he can surpass his previous achievements in his future lives.

Being forced to adopt certain appearance for gameplay reasons is just as bad as the current situation. I want to freely pick my hairstyle without compromising my character's effectiveness at his job.

Man, I just reread the entire thread and not a single person suggested an appearance change based off Trad/Change slider. So what are you doing here with this strawman?

I actually thought the idea was to have them based off of all your sliders
If it's just nature/industry, whatever.

Martial/Peaceful, not so big a fan of. Still calls off to warriors (prepped) v warriors/villagers (nonprepped)

it is pretty simple. one slider for hair, the other for facial hair/accessory

scars don't exactly fit because each slider needs three (not two) appearances
another possibility would be hair color: dark, light, red/brown. but for that the only slider that would seem fitting is day/night.

Why not just have the barberism(*) skill jorb talked about long ago?

Something about holding a guy down and shaving him against his will sounds fun.

(So does needing to have your hair cut now and then less you become unkempt)

Separate sliders would be cool if sliders overall weren't so gay
