To be fair, this is not his argument but rather his motivation for making the arguments he does.

I guess I implied it because blaze mentioned twice that "they" have spent millions of LP on bear hunting ability.

Blaze wrote:If they've spent several millions of LP to not have bears hit them while they make themselves vulnerable for an extended period of time then why shouldn't they reduce the fail rate to 0?
Not everyone can do that, hence the bawww thread in the How Do I forum.

Be fair, he made other good arguments. I'm disappointed in you theTrav. You should know personal attacks, regardless of how tactfully stated, will never truly stand up as a persuasive argument. I should think you ought to give the dev's intelligence a bit more credit than that.

I even went out of my to use 'J-Bomb' in your thread!

What were they? I saw only comparisons on LP rate and other balance miscelany which I already addressed in a previous post

I attacked someone? If I did then I apologize, that was not my intent.

The devs have already seen this post and most likely gleaned all the useful info they are going to out of it from the first 1 or 2 pages, I don't see how I'm insulting the dev's intelligence in any of my posts.?

I noticed that, more people should start picking up on it, come on, rock the J-Bomb!

Quintessentially, Risk vs. Reward, something you failed to address.

Ok, then how about this.

"Risk vs Reward" is a decision players should make based on information they have about any given scenario, "is this worth doing". It should not be thought of as an argument to always reward players more for taking more risks.

If you want mordor to be a discouraging place, then it should be high risk and low reward, which decreases the likelihood of players going there, as opposed to high risk and high reward, which encourages players to level up and "meet the challenge" and implies that mordor is somehow "end game" or "high level content" that all noobs should aspire to.

why are some of you guys arguing for keeping living in mordor better than living in a village... this game will go no where if it remains like that. the population will stay puny. the only way this game is ever gonna get good is if lots of people start playing, and the only way that is gonna happen is if villages get active, and newbies actually run into people playing. didn't see anyone all day today. yesterday, i saw someone in a boat, said hi, they didn't say hi back, same thing happened the previous day, but this time i was in a boat so we passed each other quickly, then the day before that, i also didn't see anyone... do you see where iam going with this?

you guys are wanting to keep the game the way it is, because you have set your characters up to fit the current game, and it changing will be bad for your character. So you are willing to argue for the game to remain shitty.

deadlypencil has a point, though. i mean, my village isn't exactly in the heart of civilization like brogdar is, but it's level 1-3 critters around the village with a several minute boat ride out to level 10. it was the same way in cakeport. but the reason i live in the village is because there are other people there, and, like chakravanti said earlier, community resources. it's a lot easier to make a communal set of everything than for everyone to make their own, and the game is more fun with other people. i'm kind of rambling here, but honestly, who lives in mordor, by themself? i'd say it was a minority of the population.
