I just went back over every single one of your posts in this thread (which was quite easy since you're on ignore now), you never made any mention of economic impacts, you did make one passing mention that economic impacts might get involved, the only impact you actually quantified was that it would increase the ease with which experieced players train alts.

You seem to be thinking very hard about arguments, but refraining from actually posting them, which would explain alot.

Actualyl I didn't need to post them myself. Warri did it first. I simply agree with him.

Look. You don't get a wooden alternative for every tool that requires metal. Cauldrons got clay alternatives simply because so many damn basic things need to use a cauldron. Althrough I personally feel they fucked up implementation that's another matter I'll be posting about later.

The difference is that you don't NEED a shovel to procure resources at a decent rate. It's already the way shit is currently done. The gap between plowing tools (and the lack thereof) is major compared any possible acceleration in digging. Theres just no room for it on the speed table. Wooden shovels are a practical tool a primitive people might develop. It is in fact, quite themeatic and realistic. But that just doesn't matter.

Now then, lets say they make the hand procuring of resources a LOT slower and harder and stam draining...probably on par with hand plowing. Then make a wooden shovel equivilent to hand digging. Then Metal plows are rapidly accelerated. That I'd buy.

But making wooden shovels procure resources faster than the current rates is just rediculous. As Potjeh said, They're extremely cumbersome.

True, the rate at which clay is gathered is fine, but it does eat stamina like a pig. How about the wooden shovel doesn't decrease the time, but decreases the stamina required, while the metal one does both?

Either way if you add wooden shovels hand digging should probably be nerfed a bit but i might buy that scenario.
