Please revise statements I made in that post. The main point was that everything else can be done with bronze OR iron.

I can't make Steel Plates out of Bronze. It's not fair! Jorbtar, let me make Steel Plates out of Bronze! The Bronze equivalent is so easy to make and doesn't require this silly involved Steel process of keeping shit fuelled for 3 days with sufficient quantities of high Q branches through server resets and crashes. And these Bronze guys can easily get higher Q's too and we all know the higher Q is what makes Bronze armour and weapons pretty good and often times better than their Steel counter-parts...

its not fair all i have are chicken bones and q10 soil, >:( i think i should be able to just put together 3 feathers and a handfull of dirt and make armor thats just as good as steel from it, infact it should be better to make up for all the time i didnt have good armor cause i had no acces to iron

No idea why you have to go hysterics about that simple a matter. There is bronze armor, chainmail, plate.. they are different. Same with the walls proposition - there can be two type of walls as well, with different attributes. I can see where iron mine owners can start whine protecting their monopoly, but I can`t see it as a valid argument, sorry.

Iron miners do not have a monopoly on walls. Palisades do not require iron, and are still largely untouchable without a battering ram.

In your center of the world? maybe. Most of HH is still stone age, with one iron supplier per grid at most (at least in the 6 southeastrn grids I actively visit), even if you found one, its not an imperative that he will trade at all.

i'm in the southeast, we've found more than one iron mine, and only claimed the one.
