just accept that the game is related to nordic/slavic mythology and history.the buildings look european, the cloths, the equipment, the world itself etc
non white characters wouldn't fit and I don't see the problem with non-whites playing whites.I played non-white characters in various games...

Its relation has nothing to do with the reality of the game. It's not even explicitly on Earth. Anyone who bitches about it ruining the realism is full of it.
