It's probably still a lesser evil than vaults.

Build a vault need time and resources. be smart and use this resource for a small securety area is not an "illegal action." I'm building a really little village hoping that a little wall for my little time i have on protect it, is ok. So my city is a vault with 2 crops?


I think that the onlly "illegal vault" is that vault that exploit the game mechanism, like a wall of indestructible statues, or an hill fulfilled with indestructible objecs and so on. That's an illegal vault.

A wall that can be rammed, a path of signs that can be smashed, isnt illegal, and you can't choose how people want to use theyr bricks.



The real problem is that a safe place ruin the scents mecanysm. Is not a solution, ban the freedom to use bricks. A better way could be find a way to kill that chara while is online, or maibe try to create a new system to move faster in the world.
If we have horses, we'll no need "travel teleport". if we can't teleport, we can chase who is online or ambush who wanna enter in the vault, etc etc.

The Metagame that try to fix a problem, create a new problem. This is the truth. Is a chain that must be changed from the begin of it, it's useless blame the topc of the chain.

Actually there is no time for devs to add horses and a total new system of travel, so ther's no way to fight someone that can hide himself with a fire in a hole.

Yeah, I think that removing *all* fast travel (especially travel to idol) would go a long way towards nerfing vaults.

I'm hoping that the new siege system that jorb talked about some time back would make tiny vaults indefensible against an organized attacker, forcing the criminals to instead spend their resources on a single hearth fortress, and to defend that as best they can.

That system does not fix the great problem of a town being infinitely more vulnerable and more valuable than a fucking vault.

And related to ease of movement make summoning only available at enemy hf or a friendly village claim. Cuts down a bit on the summon your entire army on top of the enemy town by just sending one scout out.

How? Those stupid towers will still be limited by the area they need to cover. Big town big area -> fuckton to lose and large number of towers to fit (and fitting towers will be a problem more than likely in a real town while a vault just needs a house and you can put towers wherever you damn please, that is if even towers are limited in number somehow by minimum distance between them or authority or god knows what because if they aren't it's even worse). So how do those towers solve anything? Did I miss info about them or what?

but afterall a big town mean lots of players that play it and then probably lots of warriors. If you can't defende a huge town you shold put your force in a small town with a big claim or small little settlement. Is normal that a town need lots of people to be protected, isn't a bug, is the reality.

Bigger is the town, bigger will be the time needed to defende it. A game can't choose for you how you'll use your time.


(there is some weakness about town that are related with some bug in game that i don't know, maibe?)
