As for the diminished effect of the survival system, survival is what make a perma-death sandbox game exhilarating and fun.

Erm, you realize that you don't even need to run the client to multi-client bot, right? Bots don't need graphics and sounds and cues, they can detect things on their own. You can bot 20 some odd empty clients for the same that it would take to run a single normal client.

Hell, even I multi-client to do tasks on my old laptop without a problem. Goodness help you if you use a decent computer to run the bots. When you're looking for the upward areas for exploiting lp, neither system is for the better.

In this respect i agree, the user for lack of a better word will always have the ability to bot a game, its inevitable. there is no foolproof way to do it(without annoying anyone who plays). I think a botting issue should not be considered in this debate due to its inevitable nature? do you agree?.

I suggest we return to the main topic of the merits and detriments of combining the 2 lp systems?

This issue has everything to do with botting. Botting is far more noticeable when someone is getting millions of LP a day doing absolutely nothing manually then when someone is using bots to farm their plot for convenience

now people gain LP and don't even have to play for more than 1 minute a day. I believe that botting was a problem but people who can advance without playing is a problem of equal merit.

replacing an old problem with a new one of equal value is not progress it is a static action.

Once again im lead to believe u don't even play the game. It takes time to keep yourself stocked up on curios.

so stock up on curios one day and don't play for the rest of the month. that doesn't sound very productive.

lol i could go to a marsh and i one day get enough curios to stock up for at least 3 weeks no problem.

and i have been playing the game since world 3. unfortunately my other account "oracle " doesn't work on the forums anymore.
haven't figured out why.

Ok, you go stock up on 180 flotsams, ~120 edels, 40 bluebells, ~40 tiny abacuses, 180 straw dolls, 30 seer's tealeaves, ect ect ect, in 1 day to last u a month and tell me how it goes.

Patchouli_Knowledge wrote:"Perhaps the curiosity system is designed, intentionally or not, so that it limits the potential of the LP gained from bots due to the limited mentory as well as INT capacity but there are bots that are can still bypass this to a degree. Such means may include but not limited to autofill mentory, raising an alarm in the presence of a troll when automining which itself brings in materials to make more curiosities. While I applaud the effort of the curiosity system to try to curb the effort of bots, it may have simply diverted their effort to field that may make them even more potent.

Of course we can both agree that alts are an innate problem which the curiosity has an unfortunate side effect of aiding. Let's say that alts are less of a problem after a major patch and stronger character are more encouraged on the curiosity system. You are still going to have several decent powered characters. It is just that they are less concentrated on zerg rushes fodder cannons as opposed to elite warriors but now you can make several of them instead of 25 disposable characters."

awesome starcraft reference. I admit that alts serve a purpose. but they are to empowered with the current curio system.
