Horses - major update?

Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

Boats added an entirely new zone of movent; horses would allow only faster movement in the normal zone.
Now, I don't have anything against horses, but we have to realize that they would certainly be high-level only content. Seeing as we have quite a lot of high-level content already, the priority has to be on interesting and challenging newbie content, and things that will improve gameplay for everyone.
Surprise.

Horses add Mordor zone of movement for people that don't have crazy combat skills. Most of the world is Mordor.

dont forget how simple boats are to craft, the relative ease of developing them, how hassle-free they are to store and use, how much stuff they can carry, being able to teleport them, allowing a passenger, and completely bypassing the terrible swimming system

if you really cannot tell the difference between horses and boats, well... theres not much more to say

you scoff at bridges, but dont seem to realize that horses would require them as well for frontier travel seeing as the frontier is waterlocked

unless fords were added to the game, but thats just another feature more worthwhile than horses

Horses don't even need to be crafted, you can just catch them in the wild and tame them. Horses should be able to feed themselves in left on a pasture (enclosed, so they don't wander off). Horses shouldn't carry as much as boats, but they should still significantly improve your cargo capacity. Horses should obviously port with you if you're riding them, much like carried objects do. I suppose they could carry two characters if they're not carrying any cargo. As for boats allowing travel in Mordor, they only open up areas next to water. If inland areas were accessible, low combat character would have an actual chance of finding mines, all mines near water get claimed soon after a new grid is added.

And I understand the need for crossing water with carts and horses, but I don't think bridges are the right way to do it. Loftar has repeatedly said they'd be very hard to implement. Ferries can do the job just fine, and they bypass all the bridge problems.

They could starve to death in towns because nobody's online to sell you straw.
