Oh, wow, an e-martyr. Do we feed the lions again, or do we break out the wheel?

I concede to the typo. Everything else stands.

I somewhat agree with your point. The moderators on this forum (most of them anyway) have been doing a great job abusing everyone who has an opinion that differs from theirs.

Such a "highly-designed" beginning ... and all lost. Was hoping to continue discussing the basics of human nature and its reflections on gameplay possibilities, but I see now all the uselessness of this intention. I better go play the game :) .

I ain't gonna put on kiddie gloves just because my name turned green. If I think an idea is stupid I'll call it stupid, moderator or not. And if somebody is all hipster about his stupid idea, I'll call him stupid too.

So normal users are allowed to do it and we have to keep our mouth shut? The language here is rather rough, had to get used to that myself. Doesn't mean there cannot be any creative input.

To this pictor guy I have nothing to say, except you completely misunderstood everything about what jorb and loftar want what their goals for this game are, what our roles as mods are...everything. I wouldn't ban you though, you are too damn entertaining. Gonna keep you around a little while longer.

Pictor wrote:Jorb, Loftar; Your moderators are circle-jerking fuckwits. Like, holy shit, I don't think you realize how stupidly incompetent they are. A good moderator keeps his mouth shut, does his job, tries his best at all times to remain impartial, and above all, they're humble. How do I know this? Because I've been a moderator, and I've worked with good ones. These guys are not good moderators. They are complete and utter tools, and an embarrassment, not just to this game, but to the industry in general. Nobody else points this out because either they're smart enough to realize that they're irrelevant to the actual game and thus to keep their mouths shut, or else they're too busy trying to join in on the circle jerk. And it's not just one or two bad apples, either; Have you seen the post histories of these guys? God damn.

I respect your design choices, but holy fuck, these guys are golden examples of why you don't fucking hire people just because they have high post counts or are community veterans. The people with high post counts don't give a shit about the community, they give a shit about popularity. That's why they have high post counts.

My impending ban at this point is irrelevant. I will point out one thing before I'm given the heave ho;

You have a rule against Mod Sass.

Hahahaha, holy fucking shit, this would be hilarious if it wasn't so pathetic. You have a rule which says, in effect, "Be nice to us or we'll ban you".

Here's a clue, children; If you can't take abuse, you shouldn't be moderators. If people don't feel comfortable calling you on your bullshit, you breed a community of people who agree with you. If you breed a community of people who agree with you, you end up never actually getting any useful feedback, because nobody's going to stand up and say, hey, dude, you're full of shit. And you may be full of shit. But you'd never know, because as any 9th grader will tell you, admitting that you might be wrong, even to yourself, is a sign of weakness.

This may be my last post here, but fuck me, it was worth it to get that off my chest.

Come at me, motherfuckers.

Hah, this guy is kinda funny. I mean, sounds like a hipster college student, but funny.

Potjeh: It's not about kiddie gloves, it's about not acting like tool.

My original post wasn't even in disagreement with Jorb. Did you even notice? Fuck, if anything, this thread renewed my faith that that Jorb and Loftar might have a clue as to what they're doing. What I posted was mainly an expansion on the thoughts that Jorb put forward.

Then you came along and decided to be a smartass because you were too fucking thick to understand the points I was trying to make.

You didn't pose any counterpoints. You didn't question any of my assumptions. You just did the equivalent of waddling in and saying "fuck you". That's what makes you a tool. Not the fact that you disagree with my opinions. You don't disagree with my opinions, by the way; You can't possibly disagree with them because as far as I can tell you don't even know what they are. What's particularly telling is that when I made a post pointing out that everything you said was wrong, rather than comment on the fact that everything you said was wrong, you decided to make an abstract snark about my choice of labeling. This is not an argument. This is just coming into a topic and shitposting. On a lot of forums that aren't moderated by monkeys, you would have been the one to get a warning or a ban.

It's not about kiddie gloves. It's about realizing that you're supposed to be a community role model, and part of being a role model involves not acting like a fuckwad. Disagreeing is fine. Posting counterpoints is great. Coming in and being a smartass is just dickery.

I would have loved to discuss these matters. What I'd really love to do is discuss them with Jorb; Holy shit, I could learn from him. But you guys didn't want a discussion, you just felt like jacking each others dicks off in a glorious moderator circle jerk. The real reason you probably haven't banned me yet isn't because you're so wonderfully aloof and above it all, it's because it'd only prove my point about you not being able to take (actually fairly mild in this case) abuse. But just because you don't ban me doesn't mean you invalidate my points about you all being children.

Most of you still treat the forums as your own personal harem. I'd show examples, but you'd probably criticize my choice of sentence structure because actually countering valid points is hard.
