OK, here's my problem with teleporter bridges: nothing else in the game works like that, and it sounds like the laziest possible fix. A more robust system that allows for all the current features to be used on bridges and fits seemlessly into the rest of the game only makes sense.
Surprise.

I see your point. This is alpha. Why does this mean that half-measures are acceptable? Are we talking about something you want added next week, or something that might be added at some point in the future?

I wouldn't expect bridges to be added in a short time- I would expect them to take however long they need to do the job right. And in the meantime I'd much rather that we continue using boats and multiple carts, rather than having a partial feature added that will have to be removed again anyway.

Because most games aren't made available until, at least, beta stage.
Things are thrown in at alpha just so they work and then usually reworked later when the dev has time.

I would actually call it a pre-alpha myself but that is just me. Of course you do realise you don't have to play an unfinished game right?

So a message to everyone who is bitching, complaining and threatening to leave because something isn't done the way they want it to be... Just leave then. No one gives a fuck. :3

It's a free game being developed by two guys in their free time over the weekend.
<sarcasm>
BUT OF COURSE THEY MUST PAY THE UP MOST ATTENTION TO US AND DO EVERYTHING WE ASK BECAUSE WE WILL LEAVE IF THEY DON'T.
</sarcasm>
:roll:

Of course as soon as someone says something like I just have you all go "HURR RABID FANBOYZ LOL".

So, either quit your bitching, gtfo, or post hilarious image macros.

P.S. This post isn't just directed at Peter. I have actually been meaning to make a thread about the fact you are all selfish, spoilt, brats. :3

EDIT: Also JFloyd, epic picture. :P

it's usually easier to do something right (or at least mostly right) the first time than it is to half-ass it and have to do it again.

Another opinion is that a poor plan aggressively pursued will typically yield better results than an overly perfected plan not pursued at all.

I'd like to play chess with you sometime.

Anyway, I feel that my solution is a pretty good compromise. Ideally bridges would act exactly like you'd expect.
I know for sure that J&L are going to select whatever works best for them. Anything else, even just taking my suggestions, would be foolish.

I'm a poor player, don't enjoy the game much either so don't have motivation to improve. What about go?

Funny story actually, one of my few wins in chess was against a really good player, but he lost because his turn timer ran out
