Does steam treat you badly? The worst offense that they've commit against me is that I can't just share games with friends, I have to let them use my steam account to play games that I own. Maybe there's some shady dealings going on that I'm not aware of but steam honestly seems pretty user friendly to me.

No Teck - Steam is a lot better than Origin or other stuff - afaik they plan on allow some kind of sharing (if they don't do already)

with Oblivion i didn't need to Steam with Skyrim i have to - and that's for sure not because distributing it to more people but for DRM - while DRM treats honest buyers badly and makes their lives harder but doesn't lower pirating in any way ... it's all about controlling the honest people ... (my 2 cents)

i don't see how the steam version of drm is any worse than any previous effort. with oblivion i had to have the cd in the drive, if i recall correctly.

To be fair, that's not exactly a compliment to Steam. ^^

It has happened that I've even pirated games that I've bought just for the better experience.

I love how its called Digital RIGHTS Management, as if protectionist government coercion because of Time Warner's inability (or unwillingness) to compete in a new market with new technology (the internet) is a "right".
