Hunting traps

Postby LordOfTime » Sun May 09, 2010 2:02 pm

it would be nice if we could build various traps to catch animals, say using 3 branches, a piece of string and a piece of meat to catch foxes or boars, it would be useful for newer players and those who just don't have the time to hunt
If ignorance were bliss, then why aren't there more happy people in the world?

And there I hooked off. How can you possibly make hunting so much easier? What about the people who actually got the stats to hunt, would that be in vain?
The freshest newbies shouldnt be able to hunt foxes, let alone boars. No.

This is an alpha, try not to approach ideas with too much attachment to your current stats/house/achievements. Think what will make the game fun for people after a reset.

I get your point, but if hunting is made so much more easier, whats the challenge in the game on combat area for the lower leveled-mediums, except pvp?
This removes any challenge in pve I think

Does any existence of traps completely invalidate active hunting?

I can think of several implementations that would make hunting still a viable and desirable thing to do, can't you?
