inventor should be arguing more against bots instead of against curiosities since that is all I hear, hell I think he is using the flaws of the curiosity system to show how bad botting is instead of the reverse!

I like the curio system(its quite unique) , but i also liked the old lp system i just wish they could be combined.

neither is a bad idea, and since bots are inevitable why not make the rest of the game more fun for everyone who isn't one.

by combine i mean leave the curio system as it is, and institute the old lp system with about a 50% lp gain that it had before so people can do stuff while they wait for there curios to tick away.

on another note.

civilization building lp is a great encouragement towards building some pretty incredible things like the ones i saw back before the curio system. I just think it should return.

Like back when i was in new brodgar, that city was so huge is was scary, and it was built on the labor of noob slaves who needed starter lp.

we had over 100 population at one point.

Not my fault, The leader wouldn't let me commission an exterior wall we had no defense. i had all the labor and resources allocated, so much for following orders.

most of the population were noobs so they were just cannon fodder, although we did thwart a couple raid attempt prior to losing.

Why cant we have normal LP gain as well as curiosities? instead of the endless debates over which is better?'

i am suggesting this thread as a debate towards achieving or dismissing the above goal.

The debate already happened. The old way lost. The only thing of any value in this thread is what Patchouli_Knowledge wrote, and that is the only reason this doesn't get sent to hel.

this is not a debate between the old and new but combining the two.

the devs tried the old way, and the curio, why not try them together.

I admit the thread name may make it appear to be similar, but i do see a difference in idea.
you can rename the thread if you like/ you have the power.
