Would two guys with 100ish give you a run for your money? Assuming they understood how to take advantage of the situation?

I've never seen a person with low stats who really knows how to fight. Typically people who understand the system also understand how to get good LP so

Now there's a particularly convincing argument. Getting a combat alt decent enough to earn his own LP and stop leeching off of flour sounds like it would take some time, but I guess I'll just have to find out how much time after I'm established enough to carry a freeloading alt like that. And then I guess I've only tried this leather armour, unarmed combat against high level boars, so I guess a combat alt would fare better against boars and such with better equipment.

True, though I usually just make throwaway bread (usually just stopping at flour since I can't be bothered to get water for the bread) if I have no blueberries/chantrelles/honey/poppy seeds/butter, and my wheat does happen to heavily outweigh those. The poppies could be handled at the very least, but then again I suppose I could handle to bake more CON foods. And the spoils from hunting would bring in decent STR, of course.

No. 500/100 = 5, sqrt(5) = 2,23, which means that the first punch will already do damage. After that it's just jump->punch, with bloodlust on so the other guy is actually helping you. The first target will be out of commission in no time at all, and then it's one 500 skill guy vs one 100 skill guy.

Really, with a world this old, and so many people with ancestors, 500 is a a bare minimum for entry-level PvP. You'll still die in two stings to someone who can einher up to 2000 melee, though, and those people aren't all that rare nowadays.

Put on thanes, hunt with sword to get decentish mm, hunt with bow to raise whatever you want to raise.

What was that formula you were using for punching through defense? Anything over 2 breaks through?

Looks like 200 would be a lot better then. At least enough that two guys might be troublesome. From 200 to 500 the gains you get are much smaller.

edit: the gains against someone with 500 skill, that is.

The 500 guy will still get 8% defence for your every move while using oak stance, so I wouldn't bet any money on you.
