"your string has broken"

"you lost your hook"

"the fish escaped with your bait/lure"

i'd think you would realize by now thijssnl, most people on this forum are not native english speakers. obviously not everyone has your command of the language, but it's fairly obvious he's asking for a status message telling you which part of your fishing rig has broken.

This is definitely one of those "why didn't I think of that?" ideas. I don't fish that frequently, but it is annoying being unsure what just went missing from your fishing rig.

Thats no excuse, I'm no native speaker myself.
If someone can write that much they can write an explanation with it as well, right?
Also, your sarcasm/cynism/anything not nice is completely wasted on me, I dont feel like I'm trolling here, I'm serious so just leave that at the door please.
Edit: I dont say they shouldnt, its their choice, but if you dont speak English proper, why not go to your own country's H&H forum?
Edit: Oh wait its because they dont want to miss the wisdom of the great Sabinati ;)
I *so* expect you to put this in Hel, you always do when you dont think of a witty answer  No pun intended, but it just always goes that way, really, I like to discuss, its not like I dislike you for a discussion or a point of view (Myeah its only the way you abuse modpowers, and dare to deny it).

here's a witty answer for you Thissjnl. your posts are garbage and nobody wants to hear your smart ass comments in every thread.

Edit: I dont say they shouldnt, its their choice, but if you dont speak English proper, why not go to your own country's H&H forum?

this is a critique/idea, so presumably the OP would want loftar/jorb to read his post, right?. so why would he post it some place else other than the official h&h forum?

He's suggesting for messages to identify the given issue that goes wrong with your fishing rod. Instead of just finding out you can't fish anymore and having to figure out the problem for yourself. At least, that's how I interpreted it.

If that is the case I do support this. It does seem like something that can easily be added and could be very helpful. Same with other messages like "your armor has broke" or related stuff like that. Or. "Omfg the bear just ate your shoes!"

It is ironic that the opening post was vague on its message when that's exactly what it's suggesting be fixed. It took me a moment or two to figure out what it was about. But to be fair, your first post was sarcastic, and so is this one. I've gotta wonder if this is how people see my posts when I don't post as politely as possible to get my post across...

I think it's impressive enough for you people to be able to speak more than one language, even if not perfectly. There are plenty of Americans who write just as bad as this opening post, if not worse. Even if vague, his message was understood by most. There's certainly room for improvement, but all that really matters is that his suggestion has been heard. It was a post directed at the developers, not you nor I, so I don't think we really need to be upset about it.

Should be line instead of string, if I remember my fishing lingo correctly.
