I don't know if anyone remembers this children's story. There are many variations but it's a story about cooperation, especially amid scarcity.
" Some travelers come to a village, carrying nothing more than an empty pot. Upon their arrival, the villagers are unwilling to share any of their food stores with the hungry travelers. The travelers fill the pot with water, drop a large stone in it, and place it over a fire in the village square. One of the villagers becomes curious and asks what they are doing. The travelers answer that they are making "stone soup", which tastes wonderful, although it still needs a little bit of garnish to improve the flavor, which they are missing. The villager doesn't mind parting with just a little bit of flour to help them out, so it gets added to the soup. Another villager walks by, inquiring about the pot, and the travelers again mention their stone soup which hasn't reached its full potential yet. The villager hands them a little bit of seasoning to help them out. More and more villagers walk by, each adding another ingredient. Finally, a delicious and nourishing pot of soup is enjoyed by all. "
This gave me the idea for Stone Soup and bowls.
Lets start with bowls. There are different types of bowls that can be made with different materials. The material that is harder to get will make a better bowl. From easiest to hardest:
Stone Bowl
Requires a stone and holds .1 liter
Wooden Bowl
Requires a block of wood and holds .2 liter
Ceramic Bowl
Requires bone clay and holds .3 liter
Metal Bowl (Any metal makes respective bowl i.e. tin, silver, gold, etc. Perhaps gold and silver bowls can give a bonus to fep eaten out of it)
Requires any metal and holds .5 liter
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And now for the food that requires a bowl to eat. Stone Soup.
Stone Soup will require boiling water to make. Ingredients should be everything that can be grown. 1 or two of each item. Onions, Carrots, Beets, etc. It follows along with the story that every villager that came by inquiring about the soup added something to it. The main ingredient of course being a stone.
The FEP gained from eating the soup should be a few points toward every stat.
