tracking on as default

please set the tracking option on as default, its annoying having to turn it on every time you log in.

Would be nice if in Options there was a toggle to set your default setting for:
Toggle Criminal Acts (If you know you'll be travelling in someone else's village maybe you want to leave this on ahead of time)
Toggle Tracking (I always forget to turn it on, but I prefer having it on most of the time unless I'm moving through a scent-mine-field)
Toggle Swimming (When I get 1000 con I want to hang out in lakes and log out there eating sandwiches)

DO NOT WANT.

Having played HnH on weaker PCs multiple times (or under Linux, which has sucky graphics performance compared to Win, haters gonna hate) this is all I have to say about this. On-off swith yes, but default on, HELL NO. It'd lag the shit out of me sometimes.

I had always sorta hoped that tracking would take some time and stamina, and not just a walk-past. If people notice the crime, they should investigate. If it was too minor to even notice...why bother?

When you log on, the setting should be on whatever you left it before you last logged out.

I'd like to have the option to have it on as default, but that's a good point. However, with around 30 PER and 50 exploration, I was unable to figure out where a few of my seedbags went one day, and I'm pretty sure the people in my area don't have incredible INT or stealth (they leave tons of trespassing footprints). In any case, my settlement isn't really worth stealing from. I turned on tracking and searched all about, but they were nowhere to be found. In the end, my guess was that they were somehow deleted during a rollback. I'm sure I've had at least a dozen boats go missing in my weakly populated area, though they weren't on my claim... But still, I'm lead to believe that the greatest criminal I have to deal with is the game itself. I've got crates and stuff disappearing, as well... Decay or theft? I'm just guessing it's decay/the game, so I don't bother looking into it, but it might be nice to see when these crimes were performed by players (without remembering to spend a whole 2 seconds turning tracking on when I log on).

And trespassing might as well not be a crime by your post since it isn't noticeable in the least... unless they decide to dump a bunch of wicker baskets on your claim, but chances are they just wanted to get past your land or scope the place out for worthwhile loot.
RIP
