Road's in mines (or minecarts?)

You can use a cart in a mine, this is already a nice feature, but it would be great if we could also build roads in a mine. This way we can travel faster inside mines, with all our ore.
(or a small railway, and have proper minecarts?) :)

I second the rails idea.

we cant do this unless they also make it so you can ride in minecarts

and then have lava in mines too

I'd like to crash my railcart and spill all the ore everywhere.

kobolds are THE most pressing priority

The simple solution would be to just make carts move as fast as possible while inside a mine. Of course, if there's going to be "Rails" for a cart to ride on they might not even require metal, and instead be carved into the stone floor or made from wooden planks/blocks.
The Dwarf is making a plaintive gesture. He doesn't really care about anything any more.

I think it should be crawl speed on normal mine, walk on wooden rails and run on metal rails.

I think a good way to do rails would be to have them be larger than one square. Maybe like 5 or so tiles that takes one board and one thing of cast iron.
