corpse decay should be slightly slower in houses, cellars, mines and caves.

Only if you agree that it causes the house to be considered "unclean" and gets a chance to cause gangrene in players depending on how much HHP damage they've taken. :)

But well, yes, I do agree in principle. I would like the same thing to be said for food as well, though. And there's the technical question of making the cadavers update their decay timer when they are moved between worlds, a condition that they cannot currently detect at all.

From what I've witnessed, it takes a few RL hours for them to decay to bone and another 2-3 RL days for the bones to vanish. Could be wrong though.

They take one ingame day to decay to bones, and then three ingame days to decay into thin air.

It can certainly be argued that it should be extended, though. It was decided in those early days when we still had no clue what was reasonable.

i'd reckon 3 ingame days and 7 ingame days, respectively, would be more reasonable
