Does any one else use it?

I believe Loftar's tried. He does at least have a keyboard where he moved around the keys accordingly.

Yes, I did attempt it after hearing the stories, but after a lifetime or so of perfecting my QWERTY skills it felt like a waste of investment. :)

Also, it messed up my muscle memory for EMACS keybindings (where the actual letters don't matter at all as much as the physical placement on the keyboard -- C-x and C-c are just too hard to reach on Dvorak), and it was hard for me to imagine that I could become significantly faster than I already am on QWERTY. Also, I do, after all, mainly type code, and since Dvorak is optimized for English, it didn't seem that it would offer much benefit to that.

In related news, my favorite keyboard broke just this week. :(

I've tried dvorak and I frequently check out custom keyboards (especially for gaming). Been meaning to buy a dollar keyboard, take it apart and make a custom one myself...

Have you tried Das Keyboard or Optimus Maximus?

€1.666 for a keyboard, my laptop was less than that :(. It also looks quite flat. I really appreciate the apple keyboards because they are so flat, I bet working with that optiumus model would drive me insane.

Optimus Maximus was something I always wanted to try, found out that you can buy the keys they use for a lot cheaper but even then assembling it in the end to come even close would be pretty expensive for a hobby. Never seen the Das Keyboard, I probably wouldn't buy the keyless model because of the other people who occasionally use my computer but that looks great, thanks for the link, most likely my next keyboard. :0

Most of the reviews on it aren't so great as far as that's concerned. I prefer a slight tilt but I see no reason why the preference shouldn't be up to the user.

Been writing my thesis all day, what I meanth to say was that it looks quite high, and that I couldn't live with typing with a keyboard that was that high up from the desk.

I'd choose Das Keyboard any day.
Not sure though if it's because of the keyboard or the das.

Bamboozlement! I opened this thread thinking Dvorak was referencing the composer. I was curious as to how you planned on incorporating him into Haven. XD New World Symphony as background music?

Sorry if this is distracting, but I thought it was a giddy coincidence.
