Back Brace 4 Lifting

Postby ciroth » Fri Sep 03, 2010 2:35 am

Item Name: Back Brace
Keyboard: Wait Lifting, Back Belt, Heavy Lifting, Heavy Belt, Move faster while carrying, Move faster while lifting.
Slots: Body (cosmetic), Belt, Armor Slot. <-- Takes all these slots to use
Material Cost: 8 Harden Leather and 4 wool.
Purpose of Item: Allows player to lift an object and move at normal speeds at any quality with normal stamina penalty. at Q50+, player will be able to run with a lifted object with increased stamina drain.

Why: Just thinking that it would be nice to give players within a village or their own little claim the ability to help lift objects when moving/redecorating or on a large construction phase an ability to lift and move objects at faster speeds to help speed up work. This item would help do that and at the same time won't allow player to wear armor so it would risky to use outside of one's own safe walls. Players won't be able to take off the back brace while moving with a lifted object and makes it very risky for players who want to use this to pillage or steal from other players as you will be fairly unarmored.

Its a good idea, but doesn't really seem to go along with the setting.
The highway currently goes nowhere.
Well, where is it supposed to go to? Irongrad? thats an hour away!

Instead of an item I posted another idea a while back. You might want to read the thread:

There is something called "Cart" for this.

Cart for moving multiple things over distance VS moving or rearranging stuff inside a house, or short distance.

I've suggested somehow granting the ability to lift objects at higher speeds, depending on strength and/or con, with increased stamina drains, and I surely wasn't the first to suggest it. I honestly wouldn't want to go through the trouble of reequipping my char just to carry things faster, but a definite +1 to being able to move stuff faster in general.

No, not really, anyone can make a chair or waterflask to regain stamina with.
Not everyone might be able to make an item like this.
