My idea is hash. To make it you build a keif box, which would require a silk cloth, 2 planks and one nugget of metal. It would look about the same size as a alloying crucible. Works similar to a wine press, you add cured hemp buds into the keif box, then "shake" it.. Each piece of hash requires 5 hemp buds. It should be a more potent smoke then the buds, maybe making the in the fog buff double in speed and because getting high makes you hungry, it should also reduce your hunger as you smoke it.

I like the idea, it's well thought out and the mechanics have precedent in existing game features. The only thing I don't like (or unclear on) is the hunger reducing effects.

Another complaint is that this is a pretty specific addition; I could see it good as another high-level specific craft (like pepper), but I think at the moment things like a smoking pouch would be more beneficial.

As a way of offsetting the benefits of hash over plain buds, i could imagine an "addiction" mechanism, sort of like a permanent debuff that gets removed or negated by smoking hash or buds. (who wants to be the first hash pusher in 'nople?) You'd rack up FEPs faster, as long as you kept a steady supply of Sra. Maria Juana around. Otherwise, you're hosed.

[We should be careful though, lest this awesome game get the wrong sort of attention from some know-nothing busy-body drugs-r-bad-m'kay save-the-children type jerk and gets shut down.]

That won't work. Hemp (pot, weed, marijuana, skunk, salvia, man-nip, bud) is not (physically) addictive, in the way alcohol or nicotine is.

The benefits would already be offset as to get a yeild of hash requires 5x the amount of cured buds, plus the capital of constructing the keif box.
