An ingame time telling device

Postby Tacheron » Mon Sep 27, 2010 6:11 pm

I would like to see either a game option or an item added which can tell time in the game. This would help a lot with determining how long the server has been down and to measure how long you have left for, say...your silkmoth eggs to hatch from the tables.

If it's a built in option, cool - not much to discuss.
If it's an item, it could be a sundial (doesn't work at night) or an hourglass or something like that, look here for more ideas. Time telling devices were present in ancient times so I don't see a reason not to try and work something out :)

I think a crashlog would help way more than this, seems a bit of a weird workaround to me.

Or that item could be a very basic town clock, like one of the ones that needs to be checked on and wound up periodically. Clocks have been around for a while.

What I was wondering. Thought I was missing something.

It tells time of day, but not date. I'd very much like to know the exact in-game date, would make scheduling steel, silk and fishing a lot easier.

well it might be nice to have a rollover on it that shows date, perhaps? or at least day (since the game world operates on a 30-day month system iirc)
