Reincarnation

I died some time ago, and wasnt exactly positively suprised when I discovered you get 25% of your *skills* back.
Since skills cost more and more obviously, I think it would fit better to get 25% your total lp back.
For feps this wouldnt work, agreed, but thats a bit of another matter.

For FEPs, if you have 50 in a stat it could be:

(50+49+48+47+46+45+44+43+42...+11+10) * (multiplier based on personal beliefs)

+1 to the idea

Bad idea.

That would break the link to the specific character attributes of a dead character.
Or ... it opens up the option of just creating a (dead) character with a huge LP-return count. (without having to worry about what skills/attribute/whatever you give it.)

In that case you should get 25% of a skill in LP back.

Say 100 farming costs 2m (do I know, an example)
Instead of getting 25 farming, you get 500.000 LP in farming back?

Ok, I see your talking about a different ratio to the returned/inherited skill's. On a per skill base.

Don't see why that would be of any 'real' benefit. Other than giving high skill characters a higher payback on there LP investment.
The way it is now is that a re-starting characters gets a nice inherited skill set back, so you don't have to go trough the boring "re-acquiring" a (the previous) base skill set again.
Its not meant as a general LP bank with a 25% LP investment return.

Just wondering. Did you actually do some math test on this? As it might turn out that it might not even matter that much.

Getting a skill 1>25 costs 32.400 LP
Getting a skill 1>100 costs 504.900 LP
25% of that is 126.225 LP

Yes, I did some math.
And please, try to be a little less hard-headed about this. You sound like you barely know what you're talking about, and yet you act like you know better

Feel free to specify what it is you think I don't know in relation to what you think is relevant to this idea of yours.
I see a idea that seems purely motivated to get more LP back.
Your free to dish me for that ... or to add some substance to your idea to proof me wrong.
Or: Why would this would be better, for the game/gameplay in your view, than the current inherent system.

---

You know what! After doing a little bit of some math myself ... I'm all for your idea.
(aha, found my math error, retracting my support to "don't care". not that it really matters in my view.)

It should be stated thusly:

"Change inheritance to be a slider-% return on investment rather than achievement."
