Forums: Select subforum when posting new topic.

Postby Chakravanti » Wed Oct 06, 2010 3:40 pm

So it's come about several times that after actually writing something I've realized that it probably belongs in a different subforum than the one I originally intended it for. So I have to pull up a new window in that sub-forum and c/p my post & topic over. Just thought a function like this would find general posting will end up where it belongs more often because though I take the time to correct myself it seems some may be lazier than others. Each subforum might produce a description next to the selection so that newer players might find deciding where their post belongs easier.

This is frequently a problem? Image

I don't see the changing as being a problem, sounds like it would be awkward and bloated.

As for the subforums having descriptions... they already do?

That's not complicated.

It's really the other way around. I'm a lot less organized and efficient 'sober' than stoned. I'm much too quick to keep up with myself half the time. I'll be sure to take care of this ASAP.

well putting the subforum description in would be pretty trivial, not sure about the dropdown, it's been a while since i looked at any phpbb code
