throw stones with your hands

i think you should be able to throw a stone with your hand. Marksmanship skill would not come into play and you would aim at a containt rate. Damage would be consistant, something in the range of 25 damage. It should also require no skills to perform.

This would give new players a feel for marksmanship without having to get like 20 marksmanship first to be able to even see the aim bar go up.

it should probably require hunting and possibly the will to power to throw something at an animal and rage to throw it at another player...

otherwise i agree, distance should be pretty limited though.

give stones a base damage that doesn't scale with level, let's say 5, and have your hand act as a weapon that scales with some random stat so that it ends up being very weak as a newb but a way to ward off animals, but if you're brickbasher strong (5,000+ stats) you can 2~4hko a bear...

Would be neat to throw stones to pwn things ;)

I say let stones be equippable as a weapon (not necessarily a ranged one) so we can run up to innocent creatures and bludgeon them to death slowly.

Throwing stone axes like tomahawks would also be badass, but were they cool enough in that time period?

Dunno about stone axes, but Franks were fond of throwing metal axes.

what would be really cool is some kind of grappling minigame whereupon, if successful you could lift an animal (or a player, i suppose) over your head and throw it at a rock

I love throwing things at people. And throwing people at things. I support everything in this thread.
