Dynamically Spawning Monuments and World Wonders

Currently, endgame is a little lacking so I propose some interesting, dynamic events to change that.

Monuments

These would be dynamically spawning objects (such as a special statues, obelisks, or building) that when personal claimed, or village claimed, give some sort of reward to the owner/owners.

They would appear at a random place in each super grid (that isn't already claimed) one time per ingame week and last for 3 ingame days. This would help to promote exploration and teamwork of large villages so that they could get this small bonus. It could create ingame tension between factions within the same grid and be a nice addition to ingame content.

The bonus gained from monuments would have to be small enough to not make it game changing, but large enough so that they are desired and that factions would consider fighting over them. It could range anywhere from a small amount of LP per hour, to a boost of learning ability, to a small increase in the quality of a few items, or maybe a dowsing rod like item with limited charges which points towards a high quality resource node.

If it was village claimed the LP/boost to learning ability would be given to each village. It would not be the same LP as if it was personal claimed, for example if 4 people village claimed it, they might each get 40% of the LP/boost to learning ability that someone who personal claimed it would get.

I would hope that an empire system would already be implemented prior to this, so that the bonus could go to an empire, instead of forcing people to temporarily leave there village for the one where the boosts are given.

World Wonders

These would be massive projects that large associations of players could undertake. It would take massive amounts of materials that would require weeks for even the largest villages to complete. Current players are in a constant quality race but making buildings that require effort to build could switch competition between villages to a resource race. Who wouldn't want to have their stone mansion within the midst of Stonehenge or a bone throne on a hill overlooking their village?

These projects wouldn't have to provide any reward other then recognition. It'd motivate players to be the first to have something big like that and give something to work on for those who don't want to participate in the endless quality grind.

Some monuments could be a one time build only (only 1 built ever) but others wouldn't need such limits. It would add some much need beauty to our hearthlands!

they should all be buildable, imo. the smaller "monuments" could have various benefits. localized resources could make things interesting. there should probably be a limit to the number of monuments buildable per village.

"wonders" would be great. currently the only things possible are giant paving projects (xanadu football field, flame's "nazca lines") or a giant wall or something, i saw a really cool maze made of pallisade, sadly a lot of it had decayed, but it was pretty cool.

Wonders sounds like a great idea, so do the other ones but building them might be a viable alternative.

Either way, +1 would enjoy seeing something else to mess around for.

I'd also like to see how 'empire's' treat this, do you state that the one in your SG always belongs to 'Buyan' or 'Sodom' or 'AD', or do you say whoever gets it, gets it? :P

The world wonders idea was taken from Sid Meier's Civilization game.
Building it would increase the faction/city's happiness.
Still a good idea though +1
