Bone spear

they have been suggested before but shot down because they would be on the same plain as some metal weapons.. so i found a way to lower there advantage and they will make great hunting tools.

they would be awesome.

i figure that in order for them to not be made of metal, and have proper balance, they would have a chance of like 10% when attacking(people with armor, its not likely to break on an animals hide), of breaking(and perhaps causeing splintering damage to the user) or taking dacay hits.

i figure that it would take 1 board, 1 bone, 2 string, and 1 bone glue to make, and the crafter would need to use a bone saw.

i figure quality would be based by{(q-board+q-bone)*(q-string+q-string+glue quality)*(capentry+survival)+saw quality}/25000

and have a reduction in quality if the skill levels are lower than the material lvls.

i figure they could just use the stab manuver.

the spear in that picture does not look at all like it was made with a board...

But, yes, cool idea. spears have been suggested many times but, I believe this is the first time I've seen bone spears :)

No need to suggest quality equations but if you feel you must this is nothing like the type loftar makes.

If you feel dead set on providing on though heres some suggestions:

It needs more geometric means.
Saw quality would affect the quality of the board and not the crafting of the spear.
The softcap would be something like sqrt(carpentry*survival) because loftar loves to use geometric means.

Edit: Fail quote.

The quality idea i came up with is not at all neccesary, i was just a thought.
