Traveling and travel weariness.

So you got someplace to go, but you cant get there because going by foot would take for ever and you don't have enough agility. Ill use myself an example. say you want to get to nople and you only have around 75 agility. the sign post you've got says 436% travel weariness. you'd need to get another 217 agilty to make the trip. without fucking your stats, this would take a long time.

now to the actual idea. what about laying in the supplies for the trip. say you've got a portion of water, beer, and food. upon making the trip these items are used up. If you don't have enough beer In your inventory, then you cant make the trip. why? becuase for everytime your TW would fill up, instead it consumes an adequate amount of beer, then travel continues, and when your bar would be full again, it removes another portion of beer. the process repeats until you arrive at your destination. whats the point of the food and water then? the waters purpose would be to decrease the strain on you beer supply, allowing you to make it stretch out longer. and the food? A trip like that would take awhile, and you would most certainly get hungry on the way.

some new foods that could effect TW.

trail mix.
would be made from raisins, blueberries, and hazel nuts.
would fill your hunger bar a little and remove 5% TW at q 10

dried meat.
would be made from (what else) meat
fill your hunger bar a bit and removes 5% TW at q 10

Hard tack
a thick cracker like bread. would be made from water and flour.
fills hunger bar a little, removes 10% TW and makes you little thirstier.

just an idea. whatever. some more Ideas on the subject?

I do love TW-lowering food. Not sure about having loads of alcohol in order to travel. Hey, alcohol`s purpose is nice and easy rest after travel. How can it help you travel more?

Maybe some kind of berries which, when boiled in a cauldron, prduce a nice drink which helps you restore TW(somewhat like 1% per sip at 10ql) and stamina aswell(at lesser rate than tea, though)

It should be something you could pick and use right away, so that you could reduce your TW in the field.

If you can't use it right away it's useless.

i like the idea of more TW-lowering things, trail mix sounds great, maybe something else that works like tobacco would also be cool to reduce TW -over time-.

You can already do the travel trick in the OP, you just need to build some infrastructure first - finding suitable villages along the road that are willing to form a 'nople grid.
I think the idea of a Travel Mix sounds good - neither raisins, blueberries nor nuts would hurt from more uses.
Sounds like Travel Mix would work pretty much exactly as beer/wine, though, as you still need some infrastructure to make the raisins.
