Jorb/loftar,

i have a suggestion- dogs
You can either:
1.make it so we can domesticate foxes
2. make domesticatable wolves
3. make domesticatable wild dogs

once tamed, these dogs would fight wild animals and hunt rabbits, and maybe even attack specified hearthlings

just a suggestion

Been suggested a million times before / AI isn't at the level where it would need to be to be used efficiently at all / Hundreds of other things are more needed of developers time at the moment.

Just so you know, I have seen threads like these all the time, try using the search function more often.

Alao, I think I saw a model posted by jorb/loftar somewhere. So there is a chance they are thinking about it.

That was a wolf.

Also, as was said, this has been posted millions of times, and was posted AI isn't good enough.

Wait the AI isn't good enough for hunting dogs, or just dogs period? Because for a guard dog it would seem like you would just give it grizzly ai, amp up its detect radius and hostility, and convince it that all trespassers are prey items. Have them roam randomly the rest of the time, incapable of traveling outside the owner's claim unless attacked (and then traveling back if scared off, lost the target (deaggro) or killed/incapped the target. That would be pretty awesome, especially if they gave them bear-like prowess when bred up to the top level. One or two, sure, most good players can handle. But a lot of people who could punch a brick wall down might go look for another if they saw a couple dozen mean arse wolf dogs roaming around inside.

What is the problem with the ai for this anyway? Because it WOULD be awesome although there is a lot of other stuff that seems higher priority than trying to work up new ai if the current couldn't be hacked into suitability.
