As we all know, this game is based on "Slavic and Germanic myth and legend" - or, at least, J&L say so. But there are only a few things which are paranormal - in fact, only hearth fires and ancestors. So, here`s an idea - let`s find out some nice, game-fitting myths, traditions, ceremonies and rituals and post`em here. Guess together we`ll find some in-game use for them.(or you can try do it by yourself, of course)
I`ll start. Here comes Ivan Kupala Day:
Ivan(as ye`all should know) is one common name in Russia, and Kupala`s meaning is tied to bathing, swimming. Thus, water is one of the components of this holiday. The other one is fire, and third component is "flourish" - flowers and grass. When this day comes, people jump over fires, float wreaths of flowers often lit with candles on rivers attempt to gain foresight into their relationship fortunes from the flow patterns of the flowers on the river. They also try to find a fern flower, which would make one who`ve found a flower very rich by giving him the ability to sense treasures. Now, what in-game use it would have?
At first, fern`s flowers - they should be able to be found only at 23.00-1.00 by in-game time, they should have a poor chance to be found aswell. However, if you happen to find one you can use it to take a scent-type arrow which points you to some point. If you dig there, you should find a chest which contains some goodies.
Second - wreaths of flowers, if sent together with candles on water at the night will change one`s mind, so, when one will try to draw a map he will take a map with all the water drawn on it(maybe, it should also show any quality nodes?).
And, at last - jumpin` over fire should give 1 numen point. You can get only one numen by night, though.
Post here your myths and traditions aswell.
