Bones of the old ones

Is there any use for these skeletons lying about other than making you unhappy? heres a few things we might be able to do with them.

1. hanging posts, a village decoration
It requires 3 blocks of wood. this makes a simple post sticking out of the ground. take a skeleton or the body of a recently slain dood, and drop it onto the post. bam! now you've got a body hanging from a post. what does it give? authority of coarse! not as much as a statue, but more than a banner. It also makes your village look evil! the more the body decays, (if you put a fresh one up it makes the area of authority bigger) the less authority it uses up.

2. skulls on sticks.
its been suggested before so I wont go too far into it. a simple village peice that provides a very very small bit of authority and drains very very little.

3. ritual altars
can only be placed on village ground. this village object takes a freshly killed hearthling and converts his highest stat into numen points (stat/10 worth of points) for all those involved in the ceremony. this idea is one im still thinking on of coarse, so it could use quite alot more discussion.

4. human skull and animal skull masks.
the animal skull ones are simple, they provide a small amount of armor but give a boost to stats. for example, a deer skull mask would give +1-5 perception at q10.
human skull masks on the other hand are another thing entirely. you take the mask and make it from the skull of a fallen hearthling. when you put it on, it takes his highest stat, strength say, and divides it by 10. if he had 100 STR you would get +10 strength. they also throw in the highest skill divided by 10 to your stats, so for example, if the person who's skull your using had 100 str and 50 melee as his highest stat and skill, you would get +10 STR, and +5 melee!

think on it. its a little off on some of the stuff, and the stat boosts could use a little more work, but discuss.

[edit] for some of these, we would also have to be able to lift freshly killed hearthlings.

My first impression is that 1/10th for hearthling skills/stats is waaaay too much.
But meh.

Jackard: Koya only raises the lynx so he can molest it later
Koya: What means "molest" ? Translator cannot translate it or do it with no logics...

who would want to properly bury their enemies?

also @aso11
I thought so as well when I first saw that comic.
so...
5. skull cups!
they should hold more than a normal wine glass or tankard.

If one of your friends is run through by my blade and I choose to leave the body, you may want to bury him. I've seen plenty of screenies of makeshift graveyards.
