alternative, make "grillspett" made with metal and held in hand. that was in Swedish im not sure what this is called in English but maybe "grillskewer" or something like that?


(on a side note i have been wanting to sugest a speed up of the grinding meat timer aswell atleast for the metalgrinder since it should have some advantage to the clay version. its just a big snore to process meat overall atm.)

As a survivalist I really feel like I'm getting screwed when I have to roast meat. Compared to cooking it takes forever and the LP just ain't there. Low LP is fine, but let me do it quick and get back to business. XD

this sounds good, we need a grill - a few bars of cast iron, wood/stone stand. load raw meat into it like an oven, fuel with branches or coal, run it like an oven and all the meat's roasted at the end

I like the OP idea more than others, mainly because the frying pan as an in-game tool gets underused. I would also like to add a couple frying-pan specific recipes; you could easily do omeletes (eggs, cheese, onions, etc.) or meat and onion combination dishes.

Although as an explorer/survivalist, I'm not sure if my inventory could afford me lugging around my frying pan with my shovel, saw, and other general gear.

Best would be both, with the grill haveing a benefit for not fitting into inventory.

Bump, because while I know that there's plenty of other stuff on the plate at the moment, this is a really good idea and I've just been reminded of how horribly slow cooking meat is.

+1 to frying pan usage as well as a buildable grill structure.
