Make max HHP scale with str again.

I just feel like con is not enough all alone.

Post your opinions on the matter!

Yes.
"Normal" is only a difficulty level in video games - Aso11
Jackard: Koya only raises the lynx so he can molest it later
Koya: What means "molest" ? Translator cannot translate it or do it with no logics...

I think there's an argument to be made for HHP scaling with both CON and STR, but using a weighted average of the two.

(2CON + STR)/3 (Plugged into whatever formula uses CON now)

That formula doesn't look right, you sure that's what is being used?

That was purely a suggestion, and not even a suggestion intended to be used, just an example of how it might be implemented..

Meaning: I was trying to show what a weighted formula could look like, if it included strength.

Ah ok.
Well, when str was a part of max hhp, it was 1 hhp for each point of str and 3 hhp for each point of con iirc.

it was 1 for str and 2 for con. but i don't see any need to make hhp scale with str. having high strength is useful enough, there's not as much use for con except hhp and swimming stamina.

True enough about strength, but I'd also see strength de-emphasized as a combat stat, and have your ability to fight with different weapons tied to a balance of stats.

Battle Axes, for instance, are more brute strength and less finesse, so using just Strength as it's combat modifier is good, but have the amount of time it takes before you get another swing increased.

Swords, on the other hand, are more a weapon of finesse. Have Strength and Dexterity modify your ability to strike with those, with an emphasis on strength for damage, Dexterity to actually connect (And a minor increase in damage due to hitting the 'right spot').

Daggers could be the weapon of choice for tailors and such, with Dexterity playing a role in how likely you are to hit, and the damage done on impact.

Ultimately, combat needs to have a lot more involved than just "Grrr I strong I hit you hard."

On that note, why not have battlehammers that take Con as their stat, since Hammers ARE FUCKING HUGE!

You are incorrect sir.. War-hammers are not the things seen in video games, nowhere near.

They are small, brutal weapons designed for crushing skulls and piercing armor.
