Azkanan's Idea Archive

Postby Azkanan » Sun Nov 28, 2010 7:52 pm

Have an idea?

Then there are three steps, that you absolutely MUST FOLLOW.

A. Read the Guidelines for Critique and Ideas, found here. Go ahead, it's just one click and about 30 seconds of reading.
B. Search. Top right. Use it before you post.
C. Check this list first, in the case that the search didn't bring up results.

If you Can't find a thread for it already, post it. Make sure you follow the guidelines when you do, though!

So, I thought, How are Jorb and Loftar meant to impliment these ideas that people have come up with? They're scattered all over the place, and some are just plain messy/half-thought.

So, I'm going to list and categorize them as I find them, into this thread, so that the decent ideas have a better chance to be used.
It is my hopes that this will get stickied for the Developer's ease of access and leisure.

I think this is a awsome idea. Can we get this sticked? But i also have to ask, because you are cutting out other people's ideas, how they get to be listed in here?

Not to discourage what you're trying to do, but it seems like you're mostly just giving better titles to some threads. I suppose it might be a little easier to search than sifting through 109 pages of threads (some of which have vague/useless titles), but completing the archive would surely take a lot of your time and probably not be too worth it. I recall reading that jorb/loftar don't want to accept help with development, one of the reasons being that this is their project and they want to keep it that way. I think they read this section and I see them post occasionally; if an idea doesn't interest them, I guess they just ignore it. If they like an idea, I suppose they'd already be working on adding it or add it to their to do list (if they didn't already come up with that idea themselves).
There was another list of suggestions somewhere, but it wasn't maintained too well, so the search feature was better for finding if something's been said before. However, I think a list of the very commonly suggested features would be helpful since it might prevent people from suggesting those things over and over again.

True it can help Sab's cleanup process.

I generally choose as many as I can to be listed.

Ones that are short and undetailed, too hard to understand, and/or generally frowned upon by commenters I ignore (Unless it has at least two pages, I'm guessing it's worth a look at, for that much).

I will likely give up after X amount of pages, but I think it'll be one of those things I'll keep adding to, for as long as I play. Gives me something to do whilst waiting for the server to come back up, and they're quite interesting/funny for the most part.

Touche. I suppose it could also be something to do while waiting for a bunch of meat to roast or something.

Seeing myself come up was really cool. Having this stickied and maintained would be even cooler. Would you take help on trawling?

That's a pretty good idea, Sonerohi.

If you can pull it up into the above fashion and categorization, so that I can just copy, paste & format it, that'd be awesome.

Start on page 20, if you want in. :)

Edit;
If anybody else wants to help, too, post and say which pages you'll do, so we don't wind up with randomers doing the same pages ;)
