idea = snakes

I have the idea for snakes :

special skin = for special sort of leather = for special armor
viscera = something from verry verry many value = difficult to get
locking = into a sort of brick prison = ltile
cultivate = into a special cultivate house for snakes = from bricks

This snakes are difficult to find.
Like slik moths.
They come only in deciouse forests.
They move into the night slow, and when its day they move fast.
You need to do a sort of taming before you can pick them up.

+ for snakes and leather

That leather would be used for example to make a wallet to put coins in it (like seeds in seedbag) :)
Or to make snakeskin gloves.

Other thing- snake's poison which would be stored in jars (obtained similar to milk and wool but you would give a rat to the snake :D).
Used to poison food (like using pepper to add fep)- poisoned statement (5 SHP per second, for 10 seconds (it would be good to make traps for example for thiefs :D)
Poisoned arrows :D

I like the idea about having snakes but there is no way you could farm them; you would also not find them at night.

As for milking them for their poison I love the idea for poisoned tipped arrows but the poison would not be toxic in food. Most snake poison needs to be delivered into the bloodstream to have an affect - not digested. For food poisoning you would need poisonus plants - like mistletoe, Nighshade or foxgloves

Or poisonous mushrooms, of which there is no shortage of. Such as toadstool, morel or the (nobrainer) Death Cap.

Or pineapple.

i like the idea of snakes, and think it would be cool if u could farm them, but make it hard, like hard to find and u have to feed them rats, which would finally give them some use.

Hitting the "revive" button on this, because I was just thinking about it as I picked up some rats.

"You know, it would be great if I could breed these rats, feed them to snakes, and breed snakes, make a whole reptilian motif."

Perhaps a "Poisonous" and a "Non-Poisonous" variety, and even ones that you can wear around your neck.
