Tar

Pine tar is a sticky material produced by the high temperature carbonization of pine wood in anoxic conditions (dry distillation or destructive distillation). The wood is rapidly decomposed by applying heat and pressure in a closed container; the primary resulting products are charcoal and pine tar.

Pine tar consists primarily of aromatic hydrocarbons, tar acids and tar bases. Components of tar vary according to the pyrolytic process (e.g. method, duration, temperature) and origin of the wood (e.g. age of pine trees, type of soil and moisture conditions during tree growth). The choice of wood, design of kiln, burning and collection of the tar can vary. Only pine stumps and roots are used in the traditional production of pine tar.

Pine tar has a long history as a wood preservative, as a wood sealant for maritime use, in soaps, in roofing construction and maintenance, and in the treatment of skin diseases.

Make tar a byproduct of charcoal production. Tar can be used for adding additional hit points to wooden items that are kept outside, for future use in boat production, and possibly for building construction. Thanks.

You should also be able to combinate it with chickens.

Actually, tarring and feathering criminals would be pretty good... It would slowly wear away, right, so if you just do one thing wrong, then you have about four hours of being marked... but if you keep doing crimes, you'll be pretty much constantly be covered in feathers.
Surprise.

Ooh, and all the previously unoccupied equipment slots could fill with tar and feathers and become unusable until it wears off.
Something should happen with the occupied slots as well, though.
Maybe seal them off till the chicken suit is gone?
That could be hell if you've got the wrong things equipped in your hands.

If you were going to tar and feather someone properly, I'd imagine they'd need to be knocked out first, then I reckon you'd need to strip em naked and from then on they would be able to carry things in their hands, but probably not have an inventory.

Would they be able to wash themselves off in knee high water though?
