Gilbertus' maps I do not like. I don't think I am the only one with this problem, could be wrong though.

So, anyone here who would/could/will update good-ole gothfox client to work? I'll pay in ingame items... :P

It would have proven your point much better and also proven you really do understand how to fight people and not only how to slaughter helpless sheep.

Care to enlight us with what particular behavior/feature it is in the Gilbertus client that makes you feel like that in relation to the mapping of the Gothfox/dgladkov client. Or are you just looking/fishing for "yea" sayers.

dgladkov client includes program that assemble little map parts into big map. Gilbertus lacks this feature.

I've made a tool that stitches images from gilbertus' client together, so you don't have to view in your browser, and you can send it as one big image. Place it in the "map" folder of gilbertus' client.
Excecutable
Or if you prefer, the source code.

(It's derived from pacho's mkmap. I removed bits that don't apply to gilbertus' client, made it so it reads all directories in the map folder automatically, and improved the data structure, comments and indentation. If you find a bug, please let me know.)
(The tool might not work for huge maps, due to memory requirements. If that is the case, just send a zipped folder to me.)

Additional support tools are no native client features.

Gilbertus lacks this feature.

That depends on your point of view.

What I preferred in Gothfox/Dgladkov was that it did not:

a) map the same area twice
b) in different folders every time
c) over fifty times per day

...which would then add up to 300+ folders in a month's playtime. All filled with the same 5 tiles of your hometown. IMO Gilbertus is more complicated / troublesome than gothfox, even if it IS technically more advanced (methinks anyway).

THX for the mkmap exe tho, DigDog. Now I have atleast something to work with.

P.S. I'm not saying the whole hide/resize/x-ray stuff isn't cool, no way. It's just the mapper part that bothers me about gilbertus client. But Gothfox is dead anyway, so case closed.
