We need some viking type Ragnarok stuff before a reset next time with zombies and people getting random amounts of certain combat skills. Would add a twist to the debauchery and sin already occurring.

Why?

Many themes have been suggested for the end of a world, and maybe one day they'll be a reason to add one in if ending a world is ever a 'regular' thing, doesn't seem like something that should be worried about in alpha, maybe way farther on past beta.

I have a better idea, why not a Dragon that will attack the biggest population point in game and other smaller evil creatures to for everyone else.
Then you have endgame content, people will try to be ready for the Apocalypse and stand together to fight the evil hordes.
Then make a scoreboard called something like Knights of the Apocalypse that displays the ones that fought more valiantly.

Because we basicly had people developing combat skills and in the end nothing interesting happened.
