General Animal Behaviour "Fix".

Postby Cajoes » Wed Jan 12, 2011 7:41 am

Patch Notes: Fixed a bug where animals were trappable by babyfaced hearthlings.

Bunnies (After the recent fix) now behave realisticly, IE: they scamper off the moment a hearthling lumbers near.

While this makes sense in a way, it also means they're now nigh-impossible to catch on your own. (Combined with general latency and the joy of trying to click a target smaller than ten pixels across which is moving randomly... and erraticly, see general lag and latency.)

Edit: Oh and you can't sprint on forest tiles where most of the bunnies live.

Thanks a bunch.

All animals do this, but it makes rabbits IMPOSSIBLE. Trapping a fox is impossible too, don't even try.

It's far from impossible to catch rabbits. I succeeded on my first try. :)

Shooting them with a q1000 bow does not count.

I did catch it legally. :P

Actually, there was a bug with this behavior that I can't fix immediately, so I'll leave it turned off until I can think of a fix.

FYI: Boars break boats WAY too fast, please give us a little more time to move away in case of lag? I believe boat being too close to the deep can drown you this way...

Gotta agree with this. I can still just walk up behind them and right-click, they only scamper away a little and are about as easy as World 3, apart from their newfound rarity.

Got to disagree with this.

Because of this.
