Roundpole Fence

I have now found, much to my irritation, that attacking boars from behind a roundpole fence is no longer a safe thing to do, this begs the question why do we still have this now useless fence?
If ignorance were bliss, then why aren't there more happy people in the world?

If I'm not mistaken, animals can't see you behind the fence if you're not in combat yet. Boars can also break through boats now.

They're a nice decorative barrier for claim layouts, as well as pens for domesticated animals.

Quit being a baby about the change and hunt like a real man... from the safety of a boat. :D

Roundpole fences are horrible for animal pens unless they fix the animal's pathfinding through gates. But until you can get cellar stones (which you should be able to quarry from boulders), they are the best option (because signpost fences are stupid yeah I said it).
