More Ambiance - Animal SFX, Waterfalls

These ideas don't actually affect "Grinding" or anything like that for once.

Since W4 seems to get more and more closer to realistic, I think a few things would be a nice add.

1 - Animal sounds. By this, I don't mean when they die. I mean more like, they'll make sounds, and deciding on how close you are to them, is how loud you'll hear them. Like a boar would make a Pig grunt type sound ever say.. 7 to 10 seconds? Would a nice fix to those who can't use "X-ray" on Gilbertus' client.

2- Water falls. Would be pretty cool to hit a waterfall at a dead end. It could contain rarer fish that aren't found anywhere else. Though the only problem, would be the depth/height of the waterfall, since HnH's world is flat.

Number 2 is pretty much useless, but figured I'd throw it out there.

I like these ideas, but read the rules next time.

You're right, I'm sorry. I totally forgot to change the topic to the idea. Bad habit of starting at the subject first. Thanks for the reply outside the warning. :)

The occasional snap of a twig as you try to sneak through forest tiles... Babbling brooks... Yeah some more sound cues would be nice. Spent several agonizing minutes today, chopping up a stump to make a boat, knowing there were other players in the area. Praying they were not close enough to hear the insanely loud whacking.

I know Jorbtar don't want help with the programming and art but they could really use a sound guy.

If they wanted to, they could. They obviously don't.

I want to add on to this , I brought it up before don't remember the reason it isn't happening, but I'd like to see some actual animation. When I chop a tree it'd be nice to see my guy with his stone axe actually chopping the tree, not some animation just floating over to show it.
Little things like this always bothered me

I thought of this too today while mining. I'm actually fine icon animations (although the tree chop sure looks like a bug net ;) ) but it seems like every new action they add, making an animation for it gets put on the backburner and then forgotten about. There's plenty of actions nowadays that need animations if only because the little hourglass can be easy to misplace.

Sounds would be nice, but we'd need better resources than the ones we use right now.

The problem with this is jorb is drawing sprites by hand instead of using models, makes animation more work intensive when you have all the different outfits.
