Pickaxes are too weak

Postby Reflection_Z » Tue Jan 18, 2011 4:56 am

I can easilly mine a wall with my q30 stone axe, but with my q10 pickaxe it says I'm slightly too weak.

Was that meant or is this some kind of retardness?

except it's not a bug. mining is based off of str*axe/pickaxe quality...

It would have proven your point much better and also proven you really do understand how to fight people and not only how to slaughter helpless sheep.

I agree with this...

Pickaxes should let you mine 2 or 3 times better

I'd say 3x.
That way, his q10 pick would be able to mine the same as his q30 stone axe.

i'd say he should spend some effort making his pick q higher. 2x makes sense because it is congruent with the damage bonuses for destroying with stone axe and pickaxe (unless those have changed).

Stone axes can also be used with a travellers' sack, so unless pickaxes are MUCH better than stone axes, I don't see much point in making them, especially considering that they require quite some metal if compared to other tools.

You'd get the same q stone axe from the stone leftover, and the metal hardly matters once you've mined a bit of it.
