Why are fish boneless?

the larger ones should at least give some

That would make getting bones way to easy. Atleast you have to work at the start to find all those rabbits and chickens.

Sort of, unless you're lucky to find a close Heath/Grassland/Moor for chickens, rabbits are somewhat difficult to hunt in mass at first.

Maybe smaller bones? and you need like 5 of those smaller bones to make or serve as 1 actual bone?
