Built a mine hole to get into another mine hole, turns out we can't enter it while there is stuff under it and "The area below is occupied".

Connsidering it doesn't tell you when you put the sign down, we had no idea while we were building it. We think that it might have been overlapping with either the 5x5 areas of the mine holes or supports were under it.

It might have been a problem with overlapping mine areas, or supports below. It'd be nice to know what distance we'd need to be able to dig in.

I must say I find this quite hilarious.

Me thinks you just need to find an unmined area nearby. Perhaps go somewhat further away next time, to the other side of the river, and mine your way in from there.

You built the hole too close. There's also a much cheaper way to do what you're doing by the way.

Also yeah we figured it would work farther away, but you never know how big the mined area is underneath.
