Day/Night Mode Adjustment

Hi,

im a little bit annoyed, that the night is always at best gaming time between 19-23 gmt. Would it be possible (after map reset) to reschudle, or to change the day lenght?

I wouldn't mind 7 hour day/night cycles, to be honest.

Loftar has stated that he chose 8 hours because it fits so nicely. Having off days would be really odd imo.
Also, Day should be longer than night.

Why?

And... It would rotate what part of the day/night cycle coincides with your playing schedule.

The day-night cycle gets moved every time the game is down. We had a longish crash last night, with the result that it was still daylight two hours later than I'd predicted it would be, based on the timing of the last sunset before I went to sleep.

What do you mean "off days"?
That's why I suggested that there would be a regular number of hDays in a rWeek- say, 23. Currently there are 21. Each rDay would have slightly more full 24-hHour cycles than currently and your regular 1-2 hours of playtime would gradually shift through the cycle.

I'm pretty sure Loftar didn't say he chose 8 hour days because they fit into 24 hours, I'm pretty sure what he said was that he found it kind of handy in some circumstances but was considering 7 hours or some other number that doesn't evenly divide so that day and night doesn't stay in sync with real world times.

It would certainly make things easier for me as a GMT+10 player.
